About ReadyKentucky

ReadyKentucky is an information initiative to help educators, parents civic leaders and other Kentuckians understand the state’s public school standards, the tests that are given to measure student performance on those standards and ways to use test scores to help students, schools and districts improve.

This effort is organized by the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence, with initial financial support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and others. We are partnering with other organizations and agencies, including the Kentucky Department of Education and the Kentucky School Boards Association, to make sure that the information is clear, factual and relevant.

Looking ahead, we want our network of messengers to serve as the foundation of a capacity-building initiative involving business and community leaders and other interested Kentuckians to support our schools and sustain ongoing, effective communications.
