About the Author
Robert F. Sexton has been the Executive Director of the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence since it began in 1980. Recognized across the nation for his leadership in improving public schools, he has received the Charles A. Dana Prize for Pioneering Achievement and honorary degrees from three Kentucky universities. He is an active board member and advisor to national education organizations and foundations and has been active in several initiatives to improve civic engagement, including the Saguaro Seminar on Civic Involvement.
